Fuel line question
Ok this is probably a stupid question but how does the fuel line run from the factory? My truck still has the tank in the cab and right before it gets to the tank it comes up between the bottom of the cab and the frame. it doesn't really look right and my line has a kink in it like it was pinched between the cab and frame.

Re: Fuel line question
If I'm picturing it right, it should be inside the frame rail.

Re: Fuel line question
Its inside the frame rail until it gets almost to the tank and then it comes around to the top of the frame rail. I guess my main question is does it stay inside frame rail and if so how is it suppoed to connect to the tank.

Re: Fuel line question
Well, tomorrow I'll take pics of how mine's hooked up...I think I've got a length of rubber hose connecting it to the metal line on the frame, not sure though.

Re: Fuel line question
Mine comes out of the frame and then through the floor board.

Re: Fuel line question
There should be a short rubber line from the barb of the tank to the hard fuel line on the rail. Then the hard line runs up the rail and ends just prior to the fuel pump. Where another short piece of rubber line goes from the hard fuel line on the rail to the pump. Then hard fuel line all the way to the carb. Filter is in the housing in the front of the Q-puke.
The short rubber pieces are for body and frame flex. I replaced all the rubber lines with braided fuel line that is more compatable with todays fuels. Gary

Re: Fuel line question
Here's my setup.
You can see how the rubber line connects to the metal line and runs alongside the brake line until it hits the fuel pump.
