who has train horns lets see them
Mine will be used as a main horn and for the alarm. How is yours ran?

I would run it from the alarm but either seperate from the horn button (seperate switch somewhere on the dash) or put a switch so you can turn it off and only get the regular horn, only because peace keepers aren't exactly amused by them.

If you realy want them to sound like a train horn you will need to run 1/2in line and a ball valve instead of the electric switch to control the flow. Anything smaller will just sound like an 18 wheeler air horn, wimpy by comparison.

I just removed mine from the firewall (see 1st pic) and installed them up on the roof of the Burb. I was running 1/4" o.d. line to them under the hood but have upgraded to 5/16" o.d. line and moved the air control valve down to the tank instead of up on the horns like it was when under the hood.
As for a switch, I mounted a floor dimmer switch and spliced the factory horn wire into the center lead and the other two leads go to my factory horns and the control valve so with a click of the switch I can choose one or the other. My compressor is mounted behind the airtank under the drivers side on the frame rail. I ran the air line through the floor and up the inside of the "B" pillar then fed it through the hole I drilled in the roof. I sealed all 3 holes in the roof and the one in the floor with Automotive GOOP Oh BTW they ARE hooked up to my ALARM as well as my panick button on my transmitter for my alarm/remote starter.. Works great for finding it in a mall or wallmart parking lot or a parking garage downtown!!!

I've had train conductors look over their shoulders back at me at R/R crossings and give me the THUMBS UP in the past as well.
