10 bolt GM rear axle

I am getting ready to swap out the rear axle in my truck. The one that has been under it for a while came out of an 80 Pontiac Firebird. It has disc brakes from factory and I believe it is a 3.73 posi but I cant remember I will pop the cover tonight and verify. It was modified to bolt straight up to my 67 and the only difference is the U-Joint and it is 5 X 4.75 lug pattern. I am posting in case someone needs it. $100 or best offer. I will get pics tonight and post them up. Prefer local pickup or I can meet you somewhere close, but if someone wants to pay for shipping I can help accomodate that!

If it doesnt sell it will end up going to scrap...

Re: 10 bolt GM rear axle

Sorry it took a while but things have been a little crazy around here with school starting and one of my children having to have oral surgery and not doing well with it at all! Here you go though! It is a posi rear end but I am not sure of the gear ratio! It came out of a 1980 Pontiac Firebird with the WS6 package! (It was a truly nice car that was turbo charged from factory! but a tree fell on it!) I went out and looked it up on Google and it said that this car had the option of 2.56 to 3.42 gear ratios in the car, but not sure which one is here as I dont have the tag. Let me know, what you think!

Re: 10 bolt GM rear axle

I'm still interested. I just need to figure out when I could get down your way to get it. I am going down that way to Fredericksburg in Nov. or Dec. to hunt. Do you have any plans to go to good guys in Ft. Worth in October?

Would you be willing to hold it till I head down that way? I could send a deposit if your willing to do that...
