Re: Wow... somebody buy this!

WOW that interior screams 70's sure looks clean would love to see more pix. Just picked up a nice rust free project for my Son. Was painted and engine and drivetrain rebuilt and stuck in a Barn in 1999 by the P.O. too sick to finish. He passed in 2009 and his widow made us a "fair" offer but....WOW this is a time piece.

I live just south of Kalispell so I think I'll check it out. Looks GREAT! If somebody needs a set of eyes on this let me know and I'll be happy to help.

Man, don't tempt me like that! I just got my 72 Jimmy sold, and I'm trying to avoid picking up another one until my 70 C10 is finished. But I REALLY want a clean original Blazer.

That interior is part of the highlander package. That's the only way to get that plaid (unless it was added later).

Yep,,,that's the exact color of Highlander that my 72 CST blazer came with,,,went really good with the orange exterior and white top. I've since switched it to orange houndstooth.

Re: Wow... somebody buy this!

I have been talking to the owner since last week. It originally was owned by a man that had a service station and it was used as a snow plow during the winter. Then it sat for about 15 years and was purchased by a dealer I believe. Jim, the current owner has had it around a year. I am receiving more pictures tonight.

He has already had someone look at it and not purchase it ? I am serious about purchasing this vehicle. If a board member near Kalispell would view it for me, I would be happy to pay for your time. It would be well worth it on such a big purchase 1500 miles away. If anyone is willing please pm your phone number. Thanks. Mike.

Re: Wow... somebody buy this!

That first pic in the add doesn't have the front bumper on it, maybe it was taken when it was a plow truck. GOOD LUCK Mike, its a nice one!!!

Re: Wow... somebody buy this!

If you are serious, get all the info you can from the owner and jump on a plain and get your butt out there Drive it home. Wait too long and something like that might be gone.

That's how I always do it,,,fly in and drive home,,,,or drive out with a trailer and pull it home. Made many a cross country trips like that. It's a great way to get aquainted with the new purchase too. I never buy sight unseen with my own eyes.

Firebird, You are right. Wait too long and it might be gone & never buy sight unseen ! After my first ebay purchase ended badly when "rust free" meant "well it's rust free for this area", I told myself "See it, Touch it. Feel it, Buy it". However, since then I've had nothing but good long distance deals. You know what they say "Buyer Beware".

This is a very nice Blazer and a couple of great board members have offered to look at it. After receiving more pics it may be too much for me when I have to add $800 to $1500 to the cost to go get it or ship it. Even with 37,000 miles it needs a considerable amount of time and money spent on it to get it where I would want it.

It would certainly make a great vehicle for someone. You can't build one to that condition for the price he is asking. But as they say on The Shark Tank, "I'm out".
