'72 A/C blower motor squealin'
Looks to me like I have to take my hood and hood hinges off to change it. I thought I'd ask if some crafty person on this site had a better idea. Thinking about gap adjustment should I unbolt the hinges from fenders and leave them bolted to the hood ...or unbolt the hood first and just remove the pass. side hinge. Any thoughts/suggestions/prayers are appreciated.

Re: '72 A/C blower motor squealin'
I changed mine years ago and remembering having to pull the hood. Kind of a bad design I thought at the time..., make sure to mark the hings with a wax pencil so everything goes back in the same place. It will be curious if someone knows another way to do it

Re: '72 A/C blower motor squealin'
DANG JIM!!, Great pics and info, THANKS! My wife helped me lift the hood off tonight after I marked it. Inside the box was pretty clean after I got the motor out. I'd put the short/soft top on recently because of the rain and hadn't been pleased with the A/C's cooling. Frosty pipes under the hood but not very chilly at the vents inside. With your build/repair thread as a guide I'm gonna see if I can make the vacuum doors in the system work like they're supposed to. I'll buy a new blower motor and a few feet of little vacuum hose tomorrow. THANKS AGAIN, Howard
