Best place to find a truck to buy

Hi

Where are the best places to find a 57-59 stock truck to buy.

There don't seem to be a large sellection for sale on Ebay and Cars On Line etc
Especially stock or minor mods but stock looking.

Where do you guys look?

Gary

Question: Know how to sell your truck for $50,000?
Answer: Spend $100,000 building it.

Hi

All my cars have come from the US.
Shipping to NZ is cheap $2000us.

Its finding the right vehicle on the web is the hard part.

Re: Best place to find a truck to buy

You probably took the first step in that someone here on the board may know of a decent truck local to them that is for sale that meets your criteria.

Stock: shipping it to NZ that is probably a necessity at least in chassis and running gear.

Running? Running driving trucks are a lot easier for everyone involved to deal with.

condition? Restored or one nice original truck or just a solid stock truck with little or no rust or body damage that is a very complete truck?
Shortbed? Big window/small window? 6 or V8? Stick trans or Automatic?

Trucks show up on Craigslist all the time but most of those guys want cash in hand and are really spooked about getting offers from out of country. Way too many scammers answering Craigslist adds.

If you do see a really interesting truck check and see if one of the regular posters on here lives nearby. Most of us would be willing to go check out a truck and take an album of photos if the prospective buyer reimbursed us for the gas we used to go look at it and some may not even need that.

Re: Best place to find a truck to buy

OK, restored stock or restomod that looks stock or can be made to look stock by putting the correct wheels and tires back on it.

A craigslist search turned up a buildable big window in Idaho that is a tad pricy but has the basics with it http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/3141764508.html Not what you are looking for though.

Have you checked the trucks on www.hotrodhotline.com ? Quite often there are some nice trucks on there that while pricy to many of us may meet your criteria.
Check the green cameo on page 4 http://www.hotrodhotline.com/classif...5&b=165&page=4

the other thing is to try to hit one of the Goodguys shows as quite often there are a number of trucks with for sale signs in them at those events. There may not be one going on in that time frame though.

http://www.searchtempest.com/

This site searches all of the Criag's List listings in a given area. Ignore the Auto Tempest pop up.
