Whats the cool-guy tire size for the stock 15" truck rallies w a 5/7 drop?

Having a hard time finding anything definitive.

Re: 15" Rally tire Size

I ran 215/70's on the front on 6.5" van rallies, and 255/70's on the rear on an 8" wheel (on rally wheels). When I put the 8.5" slots on, I did the 245/60 on the front and 255/70 on the rear.

This is what I like as well. For now I have the 245/60's up front with 255/70's out back but will change to the 275/60's when the rears wear out.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Re: 15" Rally tire Size

You may need to run a 7" ralley up front with your 5/7 drop.
I like 215/70's and 275/60's.

Here's my old burb with 7" and 8" ralleys.

Re: 15" Rally tire Size

FWIW, my 15x8.5 slots are clearing with very minor rubbing on the inside with a 6/8 drop.

Re: 15" Rally tire Size

Here is my 79 with a 2/3 drop atm. 255/60s on eights up front, 275/60s on tens out back. soon I will be 41/2 front on 255/60s and 6 back on295/50s. I have plenty of room to spare. But here is my buddies 86 with a 5/7 drop running 7" all around and 235/75s. Hes gonna go eights out back but even with 7s on front the newer style does seem alittle tight. Here is his link on here http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=532095
And a couple pics of mine.

Re: 15" Rally tire Size

Little update: thinking about keeping the Weld Prostars that are on it for now. I believe the fronts are 15x7 and the rears are 15x8's. Right now, the rear tire is a 275/60. What are your recommendations for the 7" fronts?

Re: 15" Rally tire Size

On a 7" wheel, I would look at 225/70 or 235/70. See what the height is.
