Talking my 1980 rebuilt

hi all,

My dream was to have one of the grate classic GM trucks, bud my dad did not accept the idea since he is a big ford fan, now after 25 years of dreaming, i bought this truck and am gonna rebulit it.

i told my uncle about my dream and he gave his 1980 superban as a gift, its only 18K miles and look like new with some scratchs, but everything is as it is from stock,

I am debating of swaping the enging from old 350 to a 6.0L out from 2004 chevy HD that i have in my garage,

sometimes i think to restore the truck to be just as it was in 1980 with same engine, but i have the craziness of power that makes me wanted the swap so bad.

here is some pix of the truck .

I accept some advices and ideas.

Re: my 1980 rebuilt

Someone tried to put in a 85-87 along the line. Anywho, I'd go for the new engine you just can't beat the power and mpg that the newer engines offer.
