69 gmc drop.....
Im thinking about getting a drop kit-2/4 for my gmc. I can get the necessary springs and drop shocks no problem but was wondering if anything else would need to be changed under the front end such as tie rods, etc. I'm under the impression that nothing would need to be changed after/during installing the springs and shocks.....Help!!

Re: 69 gmc drop.....
If your front suspension is in good shape,... you just need to change the coils and shocks for a 2/4 drop.
(some people run stock shocks up front) You will also need to get a front end alignment. Just remember,... the original coils on your truck are 40+ years old and sagging. Don't be surprised if your end results are less than 2/4 from where you are now. You might want to look at some of the build threads to see if a 2/4 is truely what you want.

Re: 69 gmc drop.....
i got under the front end and looked at at everything under there. I forget what the parts are that are connected to the drum brakes in the front(what the springs are inbetween). How will changing the springs affect the connections to the front brake drums?
