thinking of buying another k30
I have always wanted a nice, original 81-86, K30, 454, silverado, regular cab, SRW. I have never really come across a super nice one that was worth buying. I'm thinking of something an older owner might have. Just curious what everybody thinks would be a fair price for one if I found it?
I am on the fence about getting rid of my 70k mile 99 2500HD which is similarly equipped, but only if I can find one as nice as mine. I'm growing tired of all the electronics, although I never really had any trouble with it. I miss those old trucks I used to have when I was younger. A guy could carry almost every part that would leave him stranded behind the seat for minimal cash. A dana 60 front just trumps the IFS hands down anyway.

Re: thinking of buying another k30
I am a huge fan of the 84-86 k30s, I have had 4 of them! However, it is pretty tough to beat the "drive" quality of the 88-98 trucks. I have an 98 Excab/sb K2500HD 454 with 62,000 miles on it...I can honestly say as much as I like my K30 I wouldn't trade the 98 for the 86. heck I have even thought of craigslisting my K30 lately only thing that stops me is they are tuff to find these days.
I guess it all depends whether you DD you 99. |
