20" chevy take off wheels

Has anyone mounted these wheels to 67-70 original 6 lug set up?

backspacing /offset would be an issue

Well Drew has it on his 72 Crew Cab, but he is using a late model frame. Dunno how much the backspacing affects the older frame vs the newer ones.

Re: 20" chevy take off wheels

I like the look on Drew's truck and am aware of offset & lug nut issues but i see quite a few of the later 88 & up wheels on our 67-70's even 8 lug set ups.

Anyone try to mount this particular style wheel?

Sorry no pix but I recall a really nice lowered silver 67 or 68 SWB for sale somewhere with these on it. Looked better than I thought it would.

Re: 20" chevy take off wheels

you can use them but you will have to have spacers. 2 or 2.5 inches. probably cost you 120-150 bucks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 67-72 6 lugs were 6x5, the new 6 lug Chevy vehicles are 6x5.5? If so then that will be a problem.

Re: 20" chevy take off wheels

Hmmmmm, good info and link LoLife, I learn something new everyday.

That makes me wanna put my 6 lug SS wheels on my 68! Aside from the backspace and center hole issues.

Re: 20" chevy take off wheels

Thank's to lolife for the link to old thread. I think they look good on our trucks. So bottom line is spacers so grease cap and center hole diameter issues go away.
