New truck 1966- intro and questions - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Just bought a new (to me) 1966 c-10 LWB it has the glove box sticker in place. Options are Z62AA custom group, Z53AB amp meter oil gauge, Z61AF custom group, B98AA side trim molding, C41AL thrift air heater, V37EA chrome bumper frt & rear. The truck is in solid shape, it has had a lot of mechanical work done already. New 350 motor, turbo 400, disc brakes, power brakes, power steering, new rear, much more. It needs a bunch of cosmetic work, dents and paint. I am basically going to go the restored route but with a static lowering.

Now my questions, how rare is the black tow-tone paint option, and is the original custom cab seat upholstery available?

Thanks for the comments, but the truck is a 20 footer for sure. Up close all the paint and chrome is crap. last owner cut out the bad rockers and such too. On the plus side all the hard to find stuff is intact, but had to find a new custom cab horn ring, and the windshield trim for it though.

Already bought a set of 6 lug blazer steelies for it as well to run the stock chrome caps on it.

I will definately just give it the buff n shine and enjoy it for a while before I blow it apart. )bone(
