Salvage yard pictures

-
Well, here's the pictures from the salvage yard I promised... I went back over and got the ignition locks and a few other parts yesterday.

It will take a couple of posts to get them all on...

I have a yard about 35 miles South of me that has a lot more trucks than this one but the guy that owns it is a little hard to deal with. If I get down there I will take some pictures of it. I need to go down and see if I can find a carb for the '68 anyway...

Re: Salvage yard pictures

How is the grill surround on the white/ blue bed truck? Is there a tach gauge cluster in the C50/60? That 67/ 68 wheel looks nice. I would grab it!

Newton, IA

I think that is the second one I was talking about. Just West of Eddyville.

Drivers side is dinged up. No Tach in the C-50 but I'm going back to get the hockey puck lights off of the roof...

Re: Salvage yard pictures

tough to see them but I spy tow hooks on that big truck also that 71 has disc brake steelys on it

these trucks certainly dont last long around here in a yard usually picked over pretty good in a day or two

I have a huge yard(50-60 acres ten min from me thats been closed for the past 5 yrs. but recently the owner died.I'm sorry too say but I'm itching too get in there. I know theres about 15 trucks in there and alot of them I remember seeing driving around when I was a kid

I see those too are they the same as C10/20? I know where some are, attached to a whole truck just like that one on a relatives farm. Better check the gauges next time...

[QUOTE=67c10rustbuket;5753848]I see those too are they the same as C10/20?

I have no Idea if they are the same. one of the local yards here has a bunch of school buses with hooks on the back that look similar I wrote down the part #'s found on this site for when I go back.

yep you better check them guages most times either a vacuum guage or a air pressure guage is in them oh yhea and it should have the 80# oil guage

Here are a couple more pictures of the hooks. They are not the same as the smaller trucks.
