GMC hubcaps

I have a set of GMC hubcaps that came off a '69 1/2 ton. They are the aluminum full-wheel covers (the ones with the five fake lugnuts out on the edge). They are in really nice shape, except they are a little dull.

What is the best way to clean them up? I want to get them all polished up, but I'm a little afraid of damaging them in the process.

I think magiures makes an aluminum polish, that, a soft cloth and some elbow grease should get 'em lookin like new. Good find by the way!

Thumbs up

If they are original 69 GMC hubcaps the main portion is made of Stainless steel and can be polished with never dull available at Wal-Mart in a round can, the center section should be made of chrome plated pot metal on original 69 caps with 73 and later being made of chromed plastic.
