New toy

1987 LWB GMC, one owner fully loaded, everything works, just needs MY TLC.

With that said, I need to know if removing the AIR PUMP is going to affect the computer. Already has TRUE DUAL EXHAUST, cat has already been removed

Re: New toy

when i got my truck the o2 sencer was broke out, i replaced it and the check engine light turned off then i put headers on it and took all that air crap off didnt have any problem with it

if you get new headers you gata put a bung in it and if you stick with the stock plug all the holes in the top of them so the o2 reads right

Re: New toy

You can remove the AIR injection and the computer will not know the difference. If you already have duals on it and there isn't an O2 bung, any muffler shop should be able to put one in for around $20. If you have headers, I would look into putting in a heated O2 sensor.
