Re: The inflation fighter

Well correct me if im wrong but on 71 they had a low budget truck and this was it 250i6/3 speed manual. Also had radio delete and cigarette lighter delete. It had hand painted upper trim. There is videos and some articles on the inflation fighter package. I paid a little than i prolly should have but for what im after it fits.

New $2,575.00, that was about half the price of a loaded Longhorn.

Yep, those were the only options my inflation fighter equipped truck had! That is a NICE looking truck. I also saw it for sale on here a while back. Will be super sweet with an Ls swap! That's what I would have done with it too.

Re: The inflation fighter

That is one good looking truck. I'm not usually a fan of the over sized wheels on older trucks but those blend right in and don't overpower the truck. You see the whole truck rather than big wheels and then the truck around them, good choice.

No, any Fleetside or Chassis Cab without the B85 upper/belt molding could have the D89 painted double stripe in Black or White. Just priced the packaged options at about $63.00 retail seperately. Wish I had an invoice to see what the YF7 cost the dealer. Anyone know?

so to be an inflation fighter it has to have a YF7 code on the SPID?
