Driver window just stopped

working on a 69 GMC c10 and now i need to learn about replacing the window crank mech as the gear/crank is not working, all the tips for parts and installation would be very much appreciated.

have you tried spraying the insides real good to get the 40years of petrified grease and grung loosened up to allow the crank to move freely

Follow what cdowns recommends here, I purchased new window regulators for a truck only to find out the originals just needed a good cleaning &re lube. Cheers, Pat

If the window winder is floppy, then there is wear within the mechanism. If the handle and shaft are tight, then it probably just needs cleaned and lubed....meaning the guides and slides. If any of the guides/rollers are broken, you'll need to replace them.

But, they're not expensive and not hard to get to so you can replace them.
