Troubles matching new "Saddle" seat covers, any advise?

Got a set of seat covers from ECE in Saddle, but the color is not even close to "Saddle" OEM interior "Saddle" paint or Original Console (those two were spot on). New dash part is somewhere in between.

The problem is it's red'ish in comparison to original. Anyone gone through this and can offer up some advise on an available interior paint color? I saw SEM Cordovan Brown online to maybe be closer...

Re: Troubles matching new "Saddle" seat covers, any advise?

I have been trying to match 'saddle' on the plastic parts in both my '72 K5 and '71 C10 for 7 years. I used SEM Bluebird Brown on the door panels and seat backs and Rustoleum Equestrian on the consoles. I'll bet I have a dozen rattle cans of tan/brown/saddle shades and none are spot on. Wesco Auto Body offered to mix the proper color from their vintage book (which lists different formulas for '71 and '72 by the way) but at $100 I couldn't justify it.

Consider our truck's vinyl has likely faded into different shades depending on the material and that all the component colors probably didn't really match when it was new either.

You probably won't find an exact color match out there.

Here is what I discovered when I replaced my saddle seat cover.

It looks like leather and natural undyed leather doesn't match perfectly. That's how I look at it. My seat has different shades in it and it doesn't bother me. Makes it look more like leather. If it was black or a color it might be a different story.
