'99 Tahoe 2" lift questions
So recently we had a local shop install a 2-inch lift (we don't have a torsion bar tool and they did the alignment at the same time) on our '99 Tahoe 2-door Z71. The kit came with torsion bar keys, rear blocks and u-bolts, shocks were optional according to the manufacturer. We ordered shocks afterwards and it now has new shocks all around as well. The shop that did the install failed to record any before measurements on the front end before they disassembled the truck. Now that lift is installed, the upper a-arm is extremely close to full droop and almost hitting the stop on the frame. Also the upper a-arm cams are maxed out according to the shop when the did the alignment and have no more adjustment. I've attached a couple pictures of the a-arms. Has anyone else had issues with installing or running a 2-inch lift? I've contacted the manufacturer and confirmed they did send the correct keys for the lift/application as well. Anyone else run into this issue with a 2-inch lift? Thanks!

They could have un-cranked the T bars alittle and then lined the front end sounds like they have the keys cranked up a lot.

The torsion bar key bolts are sticking out about an inch or a little more, definately more than they were stock. The rear also sits higher than the front still.

That looks about normal with a torsion key lift. The lift has to come from somewhere. All those lifts do is put your suspension at max travel so you have no down travel. There are a couple of companies that offer upper control arms to help. The old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
