Bezel Removal
Got the light switch out with no problem. Looking at the threaded shaft that protrudes through the bezel. The bezel is secured to the shaft with a thin 5/8" nut and star washer. When I turn the nut, the whole shaft turns. How have you guys clamped down on the shaft in order to turn the nut so as to not damage the threads? Any help appreciated.

Never had one of these out before. I was thinking that the nut would spin off of the shaft allowing me to remove the bezel. Are you telling me that the whole shaft will unscrew and the switch will be unattached behind the dash? Thanks for the help.

heres what you need to do to get out the switch assembly out,,,,,if you remove the dash and rest it on the steering column ,theres a little button on the switch assembly that allows you to pull the "on/off' knob out, press it in and pull the knob completly out of assembly, then remove the trim ring on the front of the dash ,unscrew nut, your done,,,,,you dont have to remove the dash, but it makes removale/and re-assembly alot easier, less time spent lying under the dash
