I wonder if they make those for the barn doors on a panel?

Re: Stealth tailgate latches
This is the only pic I have. The picture is large so you can zoom in. I can also take more this weekend if you like.

Re: Stealth tailgate latches
Thanks Kabwe! that's exactly what I needed, super simple...I thought it would be a bit more robust of a connection. A bit of locktite and/or a wavy washer neccessary?

The only thing that I thought of later was trying to come up with a different knob for the slid pin. The one that it came with is black plastic. Aluminum would look better. Marc

Re: Stealth tailgate latches
I have the same setup. It is set up for stepside beds, if you have a fleetside you have to fab a receiver on the bed sides for the bolt to slide into.

Re: Stealth tailgate latches
Thanks Youngrodder I knew those were available but had forgotten about them.
A lot of guys run the seat belt latches but I'm always afraid that welding on them will ruin the springs inside and then a guy will have welded on pieces that don't work. This setup is clean, simple and you don't see it unless you are actually looking for it. |
