70s Water Temp gauge with number
I bought a nos water temp gauge for my 76 that has the numbers on it as opposed to the C and H and it reads low so I guess the sending unit is different or I got a bum gauge. Anybody know what these came in ? was it early truck like 73-75 or was it a big truck (c60 ect.) thing. This it definately a 73-80 gauge as the font matches the rest of my gauges.

I bought a NOS one for my 76 too just like you describe, its from 73-74 I think, you might need a new sending unit.

Re: 70s Water Temp gauge with number
sending unit should be same 73 or 76 as you have now so maybe gauge is messed up or sending unit is old and needs replacing.....only one way to tell is replace it. Only difference I think is idiot light vs gauge......maybe someone else has better solution/answer
