Bruce. the 64 GMC Fleetside

Hello!
Background:
I purchased this bad boy to be a functioning work truck, to assist in other projects. With goals of eventual semi-restore. Now that I've joined the forum, I cannot stop day dreaming. soooooo...thank you all.

I picked it up in its current condition with a Bonneville Dashboard, Cadillac bucket seats, and red quilted interior with a 455 Olds engine and Turbo 400 transmission. The bed had its original wood, but this awful steal plating screwed down on top of it. Its been a chore cutting it out.
I got it off craigslist for 1200. I've noticed people don't mention the prices that often. I guess people don't want to feel like they got "taken"? I wish more people would. Makes it easier to see the market prices for this stuff.

So..thus begins the project.

Yup....those are little trees growing in the dirt and debris in the back

Maybe some of you can see an arrow? Usually embedded videos have a play arrow watermark. I dont see one?

Last but not least......why "Bruce" you ask?

There's no room for bubblegum in this truck.

Cool truck!.... I hear you on the hole deal on people mentioning what they pay for a truck. If you ask they say to PM them.

Re: Bruce. the 64 GMC Fleetside

I ain't scared. 6650.00 Was asking 7500.00 65 fleet SWB BBW 327 Turbo 350 3.08 posi Undergoing a Porterbuilt coilover 4 link dropmember install now.
There are not alot of these trucks around Maine that are not rotted out badly. I picked this one up in Massachusetts. Arkansas truck originally. This is in decent shape and though I have seen alot of trucks for far less money, I have not found one in this shape for less since I bought it. I'm happy.

I don't think so. I want to cut out the word bonneville and replace it with gmc or just blank...I really love the tilted gauges and overall look.

Wow. people from craigslist come fast for scrap.

Re: Bruce. the 64 GMC Fleetside

welcome aboard
I paid $8200.00, PO was asking 10,900.00
truck was in Arizona up until 1986 had 69,000 miles on it then (I had the Wisconsin title in my hand dated 1986, showing the mileage, complete with a coffee stain), PO put less than 4000 miles on the truck from 86 until this spring! I put have put over 2000 miles on it this summer. Okay, so I am justifying the high price paid, but this truck is solid, so far as I can tell so far, only surface rust. I added the wheels and tires, it had chrome western spokes when I got it.

Re: Bruce. the 64 GMC Fleetside

I liked the dual stereo set up! Crank both to 11 and rock! BTW I paid 3k for my truck and have put another 1500 into it to get it reliable.

Re: Bruce. the 64 GMC Fleetside

I've been so disconnected from things lately. I stopped working on him a few months ago, due to an upcoming move to California. In it's current state it's not worth the 1500 it would cost to move it from VA to CA
Taking offers now for sale, will post to classified section as well.
