Drive shaft support bearing question
72 lwb I'm trying to resurrect. I was under the truck at the back of the transmission and pushed up on the drive shaft. It moves a 1/2" or better up and down in the support bearing housing. Time for a new bearing - right?

Re: Drive shaft support bearing question
This is probably the easiest and cheapest thing to try first.

Re: Drive shaft support bearing question
Bob, been thru this just get a good bearing, the cheap ones last about 6 months, beausethe mounting backet is only tack welded in a couple spots, if you can get a SKF bearing there made in canada and spot welded in 8 places and welded down the sides great bearing hav'nt a probelm since i installed it, should run you about 40-45 bucks.
