Lowering 79 c10 diesel

Ive got a question. My truck was originally a diesel so it had the heavy duty 8 pack of leafs. Previous owner took some leafs out and put some shackles in and it looks about a 4 in drop. I was going to do a flip kit and notch it to get another 2 inches. But cant i just put hangers and then i wouldnt have to do a notch and have the same outcome

I would think you could just add the hangers to achieve a total of 4" rear drop.
I'm not sure if you can buy just the front hanger by itself.

Another option would be to install "dropped Leaf Springs".
www.performanceonline.com sells them.
