1966 C20 with 400 auto floor question???

Help from the experts with experience or owners of a factory installed 3 speed automatic in 65/66 C20 trucks????

Ok so on an original factory installed turbo 400 automatic in the 65/66 C20 pickups did they just use the regular low hump one piece floor pan as installed with the powerglide and 3 speeds? My factory 327 with turbo 400 in my 67 C10 did not use the bolt in high hump and I believe they didn't go to that bolt in high hump pan until the big block turbo 400 install in 68.

Main question to ask now will the turbo 400 fit in place of the powerglide in a 66 C10 behind a factory 327 with the original low floor hump? Thanks.

The 66 turbo 400 I have in my garage is the same size as the powerglide and was a low hump.

Re: 1966 C20 with 400 auto floor question???

Great info guys. I'm leaning closer to restoring mine with a turbo 400 since I have found an original 66 327 4 barrel carb with the 400 kickdown paddle, the carb kickdown switch and correct bracket. Then finally I found a correct looking 3 speed dial for the column. I just wanted to make sure the low hump floor would be correct looking and also be able to use the nos low hump floor mat.
Thanks! Mark
