Talking Project Revive luciell

Well to start this off I owned this truck 7 years ago and sold it to a friend of mine then . My father and I purchased it up in the mountains of MD back in 95 .
I drove it down to NC as my daily .My friend has pretty much not touched the truck for over 2 years . that is where I come in to play . Here are the pic's when I picked it up from him




When I drove it home from High Point NC I knew I had my work cut out for me
Here is what I started with .
1. Fresh tune and clean the carb
2. replace the junk 3 speed shifter
3. Paint it all one color

This weekend is going to be a big weekend. My list include finish installing headlight's and front bumper ,paint the rims and mount the tires .

Here are the things I still need/ want to do
1. Paint left door and bed
2. Replace tailgate
3. tidy up the wiring under the hood
4. Reupholster the seat
5. Replace the body mounts and install all the bed bolts
6. Pull engine and reseal and paint firewall
7. Finish up exhaust
8. Get 2 inch drop spindles and 2 inch blocks

I have been busy with my truck . I have removed the junk floor shifter and put it back on the column ;while I was doing that I rebuilt the trans . I also added tips to the exhaust ,and installed sound deadner in the floor.Yesterday I finished up fixing oil leaks and cleaning up the engine bay .

Well my second sarape arrived and I re covered the seat with both .


I also added 2 inch blocks to the rear

Well I have been working in this truck and I have now installed aluminum corvette heads, 3 inch drop spindles , and painted it green .Here are pic's of the old heads off the truck cylinder walls and pistons look clean 43 year old truck.

In the next week or so I am going to install accuair , and a set of 15x7 supremes with 225/70/15 skinny whitewall tires.

Ok so now the waiting game. I have ordered
a complete accuair set up from Slam Specialties 4 Astro Supreme Mags, New clutch , New crossmember and bed cover as well as a bunch of misc stuff.

Update: Parts have arrived and I started installing the notch and test fitting the wheels and full slam
