Re: what to do
Man, first i guess my thoughts are its worth what you think its worth. To me those Tahoes are a dime a dozen around here... It is low miles, but how much other work does he have into it? Has he put the same amount in to it that you have put in that chopper? Doesnt look like it from just the pics....
How much work do you have into the chopper? (which i love by the way) To me it would be a mental choice. Trade something I built that is badass, for something that someone else built, that is common.... I would keep the bike! |

Re: what to do
That chopper has to be worth at least 7-8K I'm guessing? No way I would give it up for a run of the mill tahoe. You can trip over those all day for $3K, maybe not with mileage that low but still.

Re: what to do
Depends on what you're needing. Hard to haul the family around on the bike. Can you handle seeing some dude riding your bike down the road while you're driving a big white school bus? The Tahoe is common, but I don't even know a person who does not have a custom chopper or at least a Harley or two in the garage now days either. Everybody and their dog has a custom bike now. So as far as common goes, eventhough that bike is super cool, I can walk around the block and point out ten more very similar to it.
I think the bike is worth a little more money, but the Tahoe is much more practical, so it depends on your needs. Then again, that "school bus" is going to take-up a lot more room and a lot more gas. Depends on your needs. If coolness is the factor, the Tahoe looks nice, but the bike smokes it! I'd guess that the bike would hold it's value better. If I had to pick which one "I" wanted. I'd take the Tahoe, because I have a wife and teenage kids and we could always use an extra dependable vehicle, and I have a garage full of choppers and Harleys in different stages, and I need another bike like a hole in the head. So it depends on what "you" need. |

Chopper for truck AND some cash. I am always wary of people that just want to trade off something. I would have the vehicle inspected before doing anything. Can it pass whatever smog checks you may have. We have no stinking smog gods in Kansas.

Re: what to do
My best friend had a "house note" car lot. His philosophy was simple: Never trade even and never give any boot.

Re: what to do
That's a tough call. I would say the choppers nicer and worth more then the tahoe. If you really like the truck and need it more then the bike then I would consider it. I would go over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure it doesn't have anything majorly wrong with it though! Good luck
