New member!

Hey all, been lurking here for a few weeks. Was recommended to this site by a friend, and I have to say that I like this place. Seems like every one gets along pretty well.
I'm Brett, a 16 year old from Central Alberta. I currently have a 65 Chev one-ton with a good cab on it, a 65 1/2 ton chassis, and a 327 from a 67ish Chevy 3 ton or something of the like.... I think most of you know where I'm going with this, but if not... The one ton's cab is going on the 1/2 ton chassis, and the 327 will power it all. I intend on cutting down the long box chassis to a half ton, and finding a step side box for it. I'd share some pictures, but my phone isn't feeling the need to connect with my computer at the moment!

Hey Wannabelower,

I noticed that you live in Lacombe, Alberta, That is our sister city. I live in Lacombe, LA. Back about 6 years os so. We did some sort of inter-governmental razz-matazz with them.

Small world.

Haha, that's sweet :p
Here she is. Going to be using this cab. I paid $400 for this thing. I was surprised with how well it ran after some new gas. Doesn't have any brakes though!
I'm pretty sure the floor boards are mostly good. Only problem spots are the roof, where the PO had punched it with a skid steer, and rust holes in the back of the fenders.

I might go out and see it again today.. I'll get a picture of the surprise in the glove box :p

Glad to be around many Canadians! And Americans, of course.
Hoping to get a 6 spd. Not sure as to what brand yet.
I've got some pretty decent ideas going for the build, far as cleaning stuff up.
Things like making the hood one piece (Not sure if that is smart of not?), and some other small things. I took the Chevy center cap from the steering wheel... Thought about what kind of cool stuff I could do with it. I came up with this:

I think its a good way of keeping an original part, and putting it to a wole different use!
