Looks good guys, I`ll be doing the same as I will be replacing my lower valance due to rust, the donor is already cut out with the inner plate still in, so I will just weld in from the front side and lower side plates. Note that our hoods have weep hole in the lower bottom just before the wall that divides the inner wall, mine was plugged with mud.

I welded my bedside and hood seams. The process is not hard but take some time, especially on the bedsides since they are easier to warp. Here's what the hood looks like. The first pic is a little messy due to some wet sanding. The second pic is the finished hood.
