Drop doubts
I have been reading various forum threads looking for info on lowering my 70 c10
For now Im going with a partial lowering, thinking about two up front with cut springs and 4" rear either with Jeep TJ springs or purchase a set of 4" lower springs. I did also looked at the blocks options, Im guessing 4" blocks is pretty severe?? The bed is out of the truck as we speak so it will make life much easier. For now Im going with plywood on the bed so I can drill and place the motorcycle chocks and tie down loops quite easy and with no damage to a proper wood bed floor. What are your recommendations?? Whos the best fair priced drop springs in the market?? I dont want to go with bags for now. Thanks in advanced Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Drop doubts
CPP runs specials on drop springs. I recommend 2 inch drop front and 4 inch drop rear. This is about as low as you can go with only changing the springs. Cost should be 2-300 dollars U.S.

Re: Drop doubts
They have a lot of good stuff. I have their 2 inch front and 4 inch rears, and they ride great, but I am switching to bags.

Re: Drop doubts
stay away from jeep springs too lightweight for a truck
cut the fronts and use a block or ECE drop springs for the rear...

Re: Drop doubts
Why cut a spring when lowering springs are dirt cheqp?
you can get four quality lowering springs for under 175.00!!!! Plus the the truck is going to ride really good. Dont get me wrong I have cut many springs of course 25 years ago when lowering springs were not available.
