Bags front, 73-87 Control Arm question
Do you guys keep the bump stops? Or should the be removed? About to take mine to the powder coater and needed to know if I should grind off the bracket first?

Re: Bags front, 73-87 Control Arm question
Most of them I have seen on here have the bump stop and steering stop bracket taken off, but i think it mainly has to do with giving your bag enough room so it doesnt rub on them.
Maybe someone on here that knows for sure will chime in.... |

Re: Bags front, 73-87 Control Arm question
Found this pic, not sure of the year of the control arms but they were replaced with a different type of stop. Not sure what this stop is from.. posted in the suspension thread to find out.

Bill Those are universal stops in the picture. I have used them many times after cutting the original stops lower or even off. It all depends on how low you want to go.

Re: Bags front, 73-87 Control Arm question
I ground mine off but I also cupped my lower arms. I would cut them off now incase you want to go lower in the future you wont have to grind your nice powdercoated arms. Like in the picture, You can always use a universal one if needed.
