Grandpa's '65
This truck was just sitting in the weather and not being used. So I got it from my in-laws. It was my wife's grandpas truck. '65 GMC Custom Cab Longbed with a 305E and 4 speed. Truck runs good, got a wiring problem and the present time. The plan is to fix it up back to original. The truck is in pretty good condition right now though for how old it is and being outside all it's life. I need to replace the sideview mirrors, and want to keep the current style. Does anyone know if these were stock, which I'm assuming, and where I could get a set?

Re: Grandpa's '65
You will also want to check into Jolly's site. The GMC is a different animal, and the guys over there are great as long as you keep everything GMC. Tons of information, especially if you are keeping things original and need parts, part numbers, and part venders....

Re: Grandpa's '65
Welcome to the forum
![]() That truck is in very nice shape. ![]() There was a set of mirrors like that in the '60-'66 classifieds here on the forum. I don't know if they were sold or not. Might check it out.
