Couple questions for everyone?

Ok I have an 82 gmc sierra that is going threw some rust resto and need to order some repaire panels that are tough. Where is the best place to buy them at? I was told to stay away from LMC becuase the quality isnt there for the price your paying and the material is thin.

2. My windshield wipers are working just fine but on the switch themself you can push the button rod in and I hear a loud pop sound and feel some kind of vibration in the gas pedal and brake pedal, any idea what is causing this? Is pushing the button on the switch some kind of mode for the wipers. Also I can turn the knob but does not do anything different when they are running.

Re: Couple questions for everyone?

On a 83 pushing the wiper switch button in activates the windshield washer pump mounted on top of the wiper motor wich is mounted on the firewall. They usually go to poping when they go bad, thats probably what you feel. Turning/rotating the switch knob is the wiper delay option.

So the popping most likely means that the switch is going bad and needs to be replaced? Or is it another part that is possibly going bad?

Don't know if they make panels for squares but AMD makes the best fitting and quality aftermarket sheet metal available today. The only thing better is OEM, NOS or original donor panels.

I believe he is saying your washer pump on the wiper motor is bad not the switch, it only activates the switch.

First see if thats what is making the noise by opening the hood, turn the key on, then push the button from outside the truck. If its the washer pump you should easily hear it popping wich would indicate the switch is working.

I will try that im away from the truck at the moment and will get back with you on this. I do know that i havent used the washer fluid since i bought the truck about 4 months ago. But will fill it up to and try it.

Would you happen to know how to get ahold of this guy? Does he sell the actual repair panels?
