look behind your master cylinder on the firwall, does it have a big round thing behind it? If so it's vac. if not it's small and has hoses going from it to the power steering pump, that's hydroboost.

Thanks for the info.
I have googled Hydra boost on the site and on google but could not find and overview of how it works or how it connects to the power steering system. would appreciate if someone could give me a brief explaination. Rick
