courious about what a complete interior reupolster

I have an 86 no interior. I want to upholster the complete stock interior with 2004 split bench seats. Just wondering about cost? And has any upholstered the pillars to match the interior?

it all depends on the shop and your location... most complete interiors are several thousand dollars at least

May start learning to knit! I wonder how many on here have tried to do this themselves?

Go parts yard hopping. If you can find all the interior trim, headliner, and door panels in decent shape, you shouldn't be out more than 100 bucks. Then go with the duplicolor for plastics or sem dye. You could find a used carpet to dye too, but new is around 150. I'd find a junkyard seat and let a pro recover it. all totaled, maybe a grand and some time on your part. You could probably even do the pillars in a material of your choice with a bit of patience and 3m glue.

That's what I was thinking. Material on used pillars redone headliner and pay someone to do the seats, just never done that kind of work myself. Wanted to figure if it was worth the trouble

Re: courious about what a complete interior reupolster

My trim came out good. I dyed my pillar trim and headliner (junkyard parts, 75 bucks total), and my console. I still need to work on my door panels.
