Re: Hemming's 67-72 Chevy truck guide

I was re-reading an issue of Truckin' from October '92. There was a show in California that was Chevy/GMC and I think there was one 67-72 in the pix. As the nineties wore to a close, these trucks had gained a bunch of momentum. Now, they're adjudged to be classic trucks...icons, if you will. I don't think I will get any nay-sayers to the statement that they are as significant as the '53-56 F-100's.

These trucks were the first pickup trucks to offer so many options to allow them to be a 2nd vehicle with comforts equivalent to the family sedan. They have aged gracefully and appreciated in value.

Re: Hemming's 67-72 Chevy truck guide

Thanks for the welcomes, I've actually been here a few years, but couldn't log on under my old name. Getting my truck back on the road soon, I shortened the steering column, underbed tank, new wiring and electrics from American Autowire, updated A/C, big littles, on 20s, red oak bed, raked, hand built 383 roller engine, comp orange and chrome, Holly Street Avenger, Autometer gauges, cowl induction hood, 700r4 traanny swap built to match 4:11 gears, I'm getting closer, need radiator, driveshaft shortened and time, grey prime, cuz prime is not a crime! Oh yeah, 72 longbed 3/4 ton custom cabover amper special, love my baby, I bought it from a retired chaplain who had it with the camper as a home to about a hundred cats, I think I'll post the story...
