Hemmings Chevy Truck Article

Hey Guys,

Thought some of you might be interested in this; the October 2012 issue of Hemmings Motor News is featuring a Buyer's Guide article on '67-72 Chevy Trucks. Just picked up my copy today. Pic attached.

Enjoy!

Re: Hemmings Chevy Truck Article

There are at least two other posts on this. The article is not that good. I would not buy a copy just for the article. But then I am a numbers guy and this came off a "gloss job" filler article to me.

They did not say anything big like what options are rare or anything. IT was more along the lines of the 67-72 gm had options never heard of in a truck like bucket seat. I was hoping it would be like a normal truck in running condition is work xxx and one with lets say a/c is worth 10% more than the one without.
Also the value # they give are off Low value is 6k...No you can get a running truck for a lot less. IF this makes sense to anyone

Re: Hemmings Chevy Truck Article

Yep, my dad gave that to me the last time I saw him because he knows my obsession with 67-72s. But it really doesn't get into any detail, I expected at least twice the pages they had considering the overall size of the publication.

And they don't give values on GMCs or Burbs/Panels. Production numbers would have been nice to expand to the Burb/Panels so the audience could see how rare certain combinations were (3/4 4x4 burbs/panels).

Re: Hemmings Chevy Truck Article

I read it last night. Yes, pretty general info and only 5 short pages. Could have been a lot more detail. But I still enjoyed it cuz I like these trucks...and it was only 6 bucks. It listed production numbers by year I was not aware of, although much of that may be available online. As for value, the chart did list $6k as the low (as "big bad orange" pointed out), however, elsewhere in the article they mention you can find them for a lot less ("under $1000 for a deteriorated project"). Plus it has my truck in it...well, the spittin' image of it anyway. The blue and white fleetside they show is exactly like mine except for the wheels...even the tailpipe tips are the same.
