Re: Grill swap question

62 to 63 should be a straight bolt in , no problems

Re: Grill swap question

nope as long as the 63 grille is complete , just unbolt it from a 63, and bolt it onto your 62

Re: Grill swap question

I thought the grill mounting locations were different for 62-63? 63 Has 4 bolts that hold it on. The grill support is the same, but I believe the mounting points are going to have to be drilled.

As far as I know 60-63 and gmc use the same mount points.

Ha! I was wrong...just went in the shop, looks like they use the same top 2 mounts, but the lower were different on gmc, chev 60-61, and 63.
I will put my 62 and 63 grilles next to each other when I go out to the yard later today, and get you some exact measurements, you might have to drill a couple holes for the bottom.

luckily the top outer corner mounts are in the same spot on all 60-66, so if needed you can hold any grille in that way, I did that when I ran a 62 grille in my 65 for a few weeks.

Re: Grill swap question

I got the grill today, decent shape & surface rust only, one small dent near the pass. Side headlight. I'm gonna clean it up a bit then hang/mock it up before the truck goes into the body shop (yes !) I am missing the bezels....hint,hint.
