Re: Windshield pain

Yea first time I was using small rope and very little soap and pushed on the corner a little to hard, so I got little bigger rope and gal of car wash and it went in pretty dang easy.

Re: Windshield pain

dont feel bad it took me three times too get one in the kids truck.
the first one was a new sheild 3/4 the way in CRACK! uhg!!

this was before i ever heard of this site and all i knew was "they say too use a rope" I was awefully upset with "they" and myself

bought another from a jy and had a extra expeireanced hand at putting it in 95% in and CRACK! I wasnt suprized at all on this one.

I came across a friend that had a slightly fogged sheild for $10 i figuerd wtf no pain if we break this one.

it sat for a little while before we attempted it and one day we got the bug too try it we got it in half way and the rubber was bunched badly so out it came.
then the kid had a great Idea "lets watch how "they" do it on u tube"

watched the vid twice and went out and had it in in 5 min. it went in so damn easy! I wish we woulda watched that vid before doin the very first one
all in all though I think we still had less in it than what I was quoted on having one installed.

It seems I allways have a story too tell
