Wheel color question
Okay guys, I put disks and lowered the truck right... I ordered wheel vintiques 15x8 rear and going to run 275/60 and 7's up front, and maybe a 225 or 35..... And a dog dish cap. I need help on what color to paint the steel wheels.. I was feeling black for a hot rod look but I'm not sure... White, off white, any suggestions? Here is the cap and truck with the wheels it has now

Re: Wheel color question
It is hard to go wrong with what the factory did. You all ready have a great color in OLMG(old lady mint green). The wheels were body color back then as well.

Re: Wheel color question
Since the top is white,I'd match that or go body color, rather than introduce another color. I think a creme color would look awesome on all white areas.

Re: Wheel color question
The nice thing about steel wheels is that you can paint repaint them anytime you want. Try a few different combinations and see what you like. On your truck I would do them white to match the roof if it was up to me..

Re: Wheel color question
You said you like red, but I don't think red would work with your paint. Ditto on the black, if your tires are blackwall...not RWL or OWL. White or OLMG would be in keeping with an old-school way of thinking. My truck has red wheels, but it was primered grey and will be black. But, black body and red wheels may mean I need some 2-inch whitewalls to go with the hot rod theme.

Re: Wheel color question
This is a great thread. I need to paint my rallys and haven't settled on a color yet. Was thinking olive green to match my truck, or silver, or black. Anyone have a photo of gloss black rallys with beauty rings and center caps installed?
