I just use the water proof grease I have in my grease gun, same stuff I use for all my suspension on everything.

i use marine grease in everything do to the salt in my area. never had a problem also i cover the tip of the fitting so it does not freeze with rust. next time i grease i wipe down and do it again.

for that application I suggest Mystic JT-6 no.2 high temp grease.

I use a water proof, high temp, marine grease, same thing I use on all my suspension, u-joints, and packing wheel bearings with.

Back when I was at the dealership, they had Lubriplate. Marine grease, or molly grease will work just as good as Lubriplate, if not better.
