Will our trucks fit on one? Any issues?

Re: U-Haul trailer
It will but if it has wide wheels or mags it might not. I have used one in the past and loaded it but it is tight.

Re: U-Haul trailer
They are tight on a stock truck, if renting they frown on it too, when I went to rent one to move my 65 years ago they refused to rent to me, when I told them what I wanted to haul on it.

Re: U-Haul trailer
I'm hauling a 1990 Honda civic lol.
The truck has no drive train so it shouldn't be too much weight. Was looking if overall dimensions would work. Shortbed. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: U-Haul trailer
Have recently hauled a '51 Chevy PU and a 1959 F100 on them. But both are significantly narrower than the 60-66's.

Re: U-Haul trailer
I just moved my '66 with wide mags from Virginia to Missouri on a Penske car hauler. What I did was measure the width of my tires and added two inches, then called and asked the width of the trailers. Both U-Haul and Penske had car haulers that were wide enough. I think I selected that I was hauling an El Camino or something. Good luck and drive safe!

Mine is a short trip. Just don't have a car trailer at the moment. Thanks for the info.

Re: U-Haul trailer
I just hauled my 64 short step about 400 miles on a u-haul trailer, pulled it with a 2001 f-150
Then I went back and picked up and just used a tow dolly, pulled it back with the same f-150. You will save a lot of money if you can use a dolly.

Re: U-Haul trailer
I hauled a 63 1/2 ton w/ stock wheels on a uhaul trailer about six months ago with no problems. Uhaul wanted to know both what I was hauling and what I was pulling the trailer with and was fine with it.

Re: U-Haul trailer
My son recently rented a Penske car trailer, and he was told as long as the vehicle is 4000# or less it is fine. A complete C10 long bed is over that, so keep that in mind.

Re: U-Haul trailer
Go with Penske. I used them to tow my 70 C10 from N.C. to California! Their equipment is much cleaner and safer than UHAUL.

Re: U-Haul trailer
That's how my panel made the 150+ mile trip home. I just told U-Haul I was towing a Miata.

Re: U-Haul trailer
I was just wondering this same thing. Wanted to go to slamfest but no way I will be able to drive that far right now and no tag yet either.
I was wondering if I could air my truck up high enough to even get it on the trailer. Im not sure about a dolly, isnt it bad to tow an automatic in neutural????

Re: U-Haul trailer
You could just remove the driveshaft. And for a dollie with no tags on the truck you will get a ticket.
