traded my 1998 GMC for a 1986 K!0

i traded my 1998 gmc sierra for this truck last week and thought I'd post it up.

i already sold the steps as well. this was a South Carolina truck from 1994 til late last year. was restored 10 years ago. immaculate body underneath. The only rust is the passenger side door. let me know what you think!

just had the windows tinted on the truck too so I'll post up some pcitures later today.

Looks good, like the 4 speed. The lift blocks look a little scary to me though.

right on dude. i dig the transmission. thats a pretty healthy stack of lift blocks, i would ditch that setup before driving it. its just not safe

Nice truck!

Don't worry about the blocks, just enjoy driving your truck. It'll be fine.

The problem is mainly that you have stacked blocks. A single block would be better, a shackle flip or an all spring lift would be even better.

Re: traded my 1998 GMC for a 1986 K!0

well i think the blocks will be fine, i've seen plenty of trucks with lift blocks and they've worked out just fine, if i ever feel like it I'll switch the suspension out for some Bilsteins. and go with a bigger springs. but for now I'll leave it as is.

my plans for it are probably just fix the passenger side door (rust) and do a big block swap.

got the windows tinted 5% on the back 20% on the sides.

That truck is AWESOME!! I love the 4 speeds

Also I wouldn't worry about the blocks, if it was going to fall apart or whatever, it probably would of already happened

stacking blocks just isnt safe. looks liek 2 blocks with a shim between them? im not being an a-hole, im just letting you knwo my opinion. dont put it in low and burn rubber

Re: traded my 1998 GMC for a 1986 K!0

I agree with cory, Regular block lifts are fine but stacking them and adding a degree shim in the middle is....... not the best solution. It seems its a 2in block on bottom with a degree shim then a 4in block on top, now assuming you have money and want to look for an alternate solution i would go with off-road designs shackle flip thus eliminating the 4in block and if you want to keep the 2in and degree shim that would be fine but then again that's just what i would do =-p nice truck though
