Crower injected LS6 or Banks Twin Turbo small block for the 72 Cheyenne ???

Asking for input...I had this Crower injected LS6 big block built for the 72 then and stumbled across this Gale Banks twin turbo 406 small block stuffed into a project 69 RS Camaro backed by a 6 speed Richmond tranny , Too good a deal to pass up on the package...I'm torn between the big block and the turbo 406 engine.for the truck..I'll sell the camaro with the LS6 with a set GM 074 aluminum heads to someone wanting to do a L-79 clone if I go with the turbo...Give me your input on twin turbo or injected LS6....I think the truck and frame combo calls out to for the turbo small block ???

That is one tough decision.
Have you driven the camaro?
Is the power consistant? I would think the LS6 would be more street friendly, but the twin turbo 406 would just be plain bad!
Good luck and you are lucky to have such a hard choice!

Keep the big block, it looks sinister in there!

I think the LS6 is a damn good character fit myself. Normally, I'm not bashful when spending other people's money, but I love the truck the way it is.

Life is full of tough choices.

Re: Crower injected LS6 or Banks Twin Turbo small block for the 72 Cheyenne ???

Full Jim Meyers 2x4 chassis, Currie 9" with Strange centre, Wilwood slotted brakes, QA1 coil overs, full 4 link rear with adjustable panhard bar..front and rear arms are nickel plated..18x18 and 18x8 Mickey Thomson wheels and tires.

I found the chassis listed for sale on a local website like Craigslist with tires and wheels for a fraction of what the guy had spent.

I'm curious, what kind of hp and torque do you expect from each engine, what rpms are the peaks at? I love the look of the BB...just wonder which one would have more useable power?

Diggin the truck man, .. WOW. I'd leave it just like it is. Big Block for the truck, and finish up the Camaro with the turbos / six speed. Just seems more fitting to me.

That truck is bad ass already! But the twin turbo and six speed would make it real sick as well...you wouldn't see a set up like that everyday then again neither the Crower injection either. I'm a big block guy myself with my 68' but I have to say a blown small block would be loads of fun!!!!!

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you this...you have a REALLY nice truck. I'm a big block guy so stick with the big block, it will make you happy for a long time. By the way, is that NOS plumbed into that intake manifold?

Big Block for the truck, leave the turbos in the Camaro. All of those rides are awesome. What tire size is that on the rear of the truck? Looks insane - love it

Thanks for the compliment...the 8 stack Crower has been converted to EFi and has 2 stages of NOS, 150 and a 250 shot ... : )
