Front coil springs: Moog 6082 vs 6102
Im about to pull the trigger on a set of these coils. Other than the 2 dollars difference, I dont know how they are different. Is one longer or more heavier duty than the other?

Re: Front coil springs: Moog 6082 vs 6102
The Moog website says the 6082 are standard duty and the 6102 are heavy duty...I'm thinking of ordering the 6082, don't want a stiff ride. What did you go with? How is the ride?

I am also looking at this. Will be ordering mine within the next week and not sure which one I am going to get. Will be watching this and I hope some one will post how the two different springs ride.

Re: Front coil springs: Moog 6082 vs 6102
If I remember correctly , the 6082 is a thinner wire to the spring, have used them in the last 3 I've put together. The 68 I have now has them with drop spindles rides very good , front sway bar helped .The 69 before it was the same spring with 1 coil cut , also rode well. Hope this helps , please post your results!

Re: Front coil springs: Moog 6082 vs 6102
Hi - I recently researched this myself.
6082 Springs, .750 wire diameter, 722 pounds, ($71.97 at summit) 6102 Springs, .810 wire diameter, 1015 pounds, ($73.00 at summit) 6454 springs, .820 wire diameter, 1060 pounds, ($73.00 at summit) 6452 springs, .780 wire diameter, 843 pounds, ( $63.00 at summit) 6104 pounds, .810 wire diameter, 1016 pounds, This is supposed to sit 1/2" higher than a 6102 ($79.00 at summit) Found this by googling part numbers came up with O'Reilly's website and a post from Rob at NoLimit. Hope this helps. Wayne |
