Marker Light Trim???

Does anybody know where to buy or if you can buy the trim rings for the marker lights? If not I guess I will have to buy the complete assembly and I was told that they would probably come off again lol...

Re: Marker Light Trim???

I was going to post up the exact same question!

Doesnt seem like there is much holding those little chrome trim rings on. I noticed that some of mine were missing so I just pulled them all off until I can find some more. It didnt take any force at all to remove them. I would definately glue them on better than the fectory did.

I also need some if anyone has a source for them. There are no trucks like this in any junk yards or pick n pulls where I am from. The oldest chevys they have are late 70's.

Cheers
Lonnie

Re: Marker Light Trim???

I went to Brothers awhile back...they don't make the trim alone...you have to buy the entire light. Just a crappy design.

Re: Marker Light Trim???

Mine have fallen off twice, The first time I had to buy a new one, but this last time it fell out in the driveway so I glued it back on.

Re: Marker Light Trim???

Just looking at them I think I'm going to block sand those edges smooth and just paint the edges silver....really don't have anything to loose. I'll post pics if they turn out pretty good...

Unless you are really partial to the chrome trim the 84-96{think thats the years}van marker lights are real nice. They offer a much cleaner look than normal standard lights and the bulb in centered in the lens.

Well the ones on the 68' are dummy lights...I just hate the way the edges look when the trim falls off.

Yeah my 69 c10 were dummy lights and I converted them.Very easy,a socket with a pigtail and tie them into the parking lights.

Re: Marker Light Trim???

You can also get the pig tail lights at your local Trailer/RV supply store. I would much rather buy locally when possible. Jenn
