Does anyone know where I can buy a spring that is pictured?

I found this picture online and think that this may be what I am missing. Currently I just replaced my upper bearing and then put on the aftermarket steering wheel adapter but there was like a 3/4" gap. After it was all together everything was great until I slightly pulled on the steering wheel and pulled the bearing out of place which causes tons of play in the wheel. I think this spring would keep the bearing in place at all times. Any help would be great!!!! Thanks guys

What year truck are you working on? '67-'72 Chevy trucks don't have that spring unless it is a tilt column. Unless it was supposed to come with the aftermarket wheel...

I'm working on a 72 truck with a non-tilt column. If it's doesn't have the spring, what keeps the upper bearing from pulling out of place since ther is about a 3/4" gap between the bearing and the aftermarket steering wheel adapter hub? I also noticed that I may be missing the turn signal cancel cam. Maybe that's it?

I agree with lockdoc. These used a tapered turn signal cam gizmo for lack of better words that holds down on the bearing.

I once tried to install a spring to cure a wobbly steering wheel (felt like the top bearing was shot but it wasn't ) but it wouldn't work. Turned out all I had to do was loosen the column and pull it upward. That put more pressure in that area and no more slop.

Hi, does the upper steering column bearing in a 65 C10 have a spring to press down on it when putting the steering wheel on?

Because it's for the 1960-66 Steering Column Bearing-Upper parts but it should work.

There is a spring on the bottom of the column on the 67-72. The lower brg. is supposed float on the shaft & the spring pushes the shaft down to take up any play in the streering wheel. After all these years & a horrible invironment the lower brg is practically always froze to the shaft. You might be able to loosen the clamp under the spring & tap the brg up on the shaft. Otherwise the way to fix it right is to remove the column & o-haul it.

I have found that just about any GM tilt column built before they went to the key switch in the column uses this same spring.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
