What does the spacer do? Besides make it taller.

Re: Blower 4" Spacer Plate

It's mainly for looks, but it does act like a big heat sink cooling the charge a bit, adds enough HP to pull it own weight and run you alternator

Re: Blower 4" Spacer Plate

Sorry Ronnie, This is coming across as snake oil to claim any real heat rejection benefit. Do you have any real world air charge temperature or density data to support your claim?
Planning on becomming a vendor or is this guerrilla marketing?

Re: Blower 4" Spacer Plate

REALLY? did you waste your time to write that? I manufacture them and have hundreds of spacer customers giving me feedback through my 16 dealers, dozens of them have told me there motors seem to run a bit better, I'm not fabricating any huge claims here Like I said big improvement in looks small improvement in performance, I'm not trying to sell you or anyone on this forum one, just wanted to post one of my customers trucks because he did a great job with its build, so ease up on the guerilla marketing BS, I'm on this forum to ask questions about things I'm doing to my 72 C-10, and to learn from others.... and share cool pics now and then.... jeez

I'm too young to drive the pretty blue truck. So you first. If there's anything left I will try.

Blue truck

It's in Plano TX, Shane originally built it with one 671 Blower, he contacted me to fab a twin blower manifold and to get two 4" Spacer Plates, It came out AWESOME... I read a post on it last week saying he saw it at a Texas car show and it killed at the burn out contest...

Re: Blower 4" Spacer Plate

Never got the multiple blowers, guess I'm not into the wow factor so much as real performance.

As for customers saying it feels faster, thats great, but not real proof, most likely the good ole placebo effect making the butt dyno read higher.

The only blower motor I have is for my trucks heater. I would not mind havign a blower equiped engine, but it would be for performance, not for looks. I don't have a complex to try and overcompensate for.

I would be willing to bet, my naturally aspirated 427 equiped 1955 belair would bet either of these trucks down the quarter mile.

I was at a cruise the other day where a guy was whining about his 1957 belair, he has to install a parking brake and wipers so he can pass the NSRA tech so he has a chance to win trophies. Thought that was pretty silly.

I'm not a show and shine trailer queen sit and polish guy. I like to build cars and trucks that I can use, and I use them. I put 1000 miles a month on my 1969 C10 and love every miniute of it!

I'm the same as you... good post. I beat the snot out of my rigs on the street. Build the engines to sustain high RPM pulls and go like raped apes. With the amount of money that goes into some show rigs... I could build a serious street/strip holy terror.
