i need the part of the throttle cable that clips into the square hole in the firewall, so i can adapt a lokar throttle cable

I hate to cut up an NOS cable, just to get the square firewall mount...

If its for a 4x4, sure. Let me measure mine. Does the cable wrapper have a GM # on it?

Just an FYI for iding purposes, all 71/72 4wd with a V8 & 4 bbl used GM Pn. 6264974 which was around 18" +/- overall with the black outer insulator part measuring 7 1/2" +/- from firewall mounting to carb bracket mounting points. Mel

Re: WTB oem throttle cable

FYI Lokar also has a bezel washer for this purpose. Part #1031 it is 1" in diameter and has a small bevel on it's face for some style. One on each side of the firewall will take care of covering the hole.

Just what i need more Lokar parts, J/K, all the parts i have bought have added well engineered proformance to my build, and good looks
Floor shifter w/optics for gear selection
Trans dipstick
Engine dipstick
Kickdown cable for th350
Throttle cable
2 Brake handles
Trans lever, connects linkage to shifter
And a very large decal for my tool box

That is avery good company, with great customer service and tech advise. And, its all American made....good quality parts, thanks for helping us out
Plus on time delivery, just had the cable drop shipped
Ill look up that part number, that would be one way to put a round peg in a square hole
Great board we have here

BTW! Have you ever thought about making cables for our heater controls, these solid cables in our trucks stick. I think those cables are what keep breaking the control panels

Thanks again for your help...check out my build thread with all your parts installed

The nos oem cable measures a total assembly length of 18 3/4". Part number printed on cable is 4 120. Tape on cable says DH....

David, before i sell you the cable, i want to tell you about it. I had a problem mounting it to a 72 pedal assembly, couldnt figure out how to get it through the hole in the pedal, so i cut a slot, the size of the cable, in the pedal to mount the cable to the pedal

Dont know if there is another way, but, just wanted to advise you of the situation....no damage to the oem cable
